Write about your favourite places

Our Europe travel sites now receive more than 1 million page views each month (300k unique visitors), and we are always looking for interesting travel articles to make them more useful and informative for visitors. To do this we need articles about the places in Europe that you know, perhaps where you live or have a second home or maybe somewhere you love to visit - or prefer to avoid!

You don't need to be the next Shakespeare to submit a travel article, you just need to be able to write enthusiastically about your favourite place(s) in a way that will be interesting to visitors.

There is no limit on the number of useful articles you can contribute - we have authors who have contributed just one article and others who have submitted tens of articles to provide coverage of a whole region. Articles usually are between 500 and 1000 words but don't hold back if you have a lot to say!

Option 1: We pay you

Unfortunately we can't afford to pay a great deal, typically 10 euros for a 500 word article or 15 euros for a 1000 word article, but you will also have the great pleasure of seeing your article in print and knowing you are helping people enjoy their vacations! (Payment will be made by cheque or paypal, if you can send an invoice you will make us very happy, but no problem if you can't.)

Option 2: We don't pay you

- If you just want to share your knowledge for the benefit of visitors, that's great, please carry on! Simply 'register' in the users menu (it only takes a moment) then login and select 'Submit an Article'

- If you have a local business you would like to promote at the end of your article you can add a 'credit' sentence at the end of the article - that way you will get a useful link to your own website.

Small Print

- We reserve the right to decline any article that fails to meet our standards of quality or is otherwise unsuitable

- We might use the travel article on any site(s) within the europethisway group (any articles with an author credit will retain the credit wherever used)

- No links are allowed in the articles, except for the 'author credit' referred to in option 2. This credit must be to a business related to travel or based in Europe (of course, no links to drugs, violence, racist sites etc will be accepted - but you knew that...)

- The copyright of any articles submitted will belong to europethisway (hence, by submitting you agree not to submit the same article elsewhere or resell it)

- The articles must not have been previously used elsewhere before submission, and must be original material.
